The first training activity of the PowerUp MyHouse project that covers the latest technologies in solar PVT applications was held at the University of Gävle (HiG) in Sweden. The training was held from Monday, May 9th to Friday, May 13th, and participants from Turkey (Adana Alparslan Türkeş Bilim ve Teknoloji Üniversitesi, KASSKED, Kurttepe Şehit Ali Öztaş Mesleki Ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi), Denmark (DTU - Technical University of Denmark), Sweden (MG Sustainable Engineering), Lithuania (Panevėžio kolegija/University of Applied Sciences) and Portugal (Instituto Politécnico de Tomar) had an active presence.
On the first day, Dr. Hayati from HiG offered an update on the project and provided practical information to attendees. This was followed by an "Introduction to the Swedish electric system" and "WinSun software overview" (presented by Prof. Björn Karlsson), "Reflector optimization for low C-PVT solar collectors" (presented by Dr. Diogo Cabral), and "Introduction on Solar PVT prototype in Kerman" (presented by Dr. Hayati) were other parts of the program on the first day.
The second day began with a presentation by Dr. João Gomes entitled "Overall introduction to some of the solar projects at HiG’’ and continued with presentations by Dr. Hayati and Dr. Cabral.
The third, fourth, and last days were dedicated to visiting Absolicon Solar Collector AB (a company producing solar collectors), Vattenfall Laboratory in Älvkarleby, and Gavlehov, respectively. Dr. Hayati concluded the meeting by thanking the members of each respective group for their support and good work during the first training activity.
